Tania Diez is a director and photographer.

Tania attended Central St. Martins School of Art and received a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art Film. She then went on to study directing at The National Film and Television School. Tania's short films have won several awards, including Scarborough Ahoy, which won a student Oscar, Prix du Public at Angers, a Chicago Golden Plaque and several other awards. Her work has been shown on BBC TV and Channel 4. She worked a television director for 15 years, directing TV drama and being nominated for a BAFTA.  She most recently directed Holby City for the BBC. She has also developed original feature scripts with BBC Films, UK Film Council, and MEDIA. She has been featured in Screen International and The Independant Newspaper as a talent of the future. 

Her photographic work has been included in The National Portrait Gallery Street Photography Exhibition, the Mall Galleries, London, P3 Gallery Marylebone, London Gallery West, and the Lightbox Gallery, Woking. 

She was also editor of Jaunt, an independent arts magazine which was stocked at the Tate Modern, Foyles and Photographers' Gallery.

Film Awards: Academy Award for Foreign Student Short film. Chicago Golden Plaque, Canal Plus prize Poitiers, Audience Prize Angers, Jury prize Munich, Best Film Filmfest Ludwigsburg, Karlovi Vari Award, British Shorts Best Short Award, LWT award, Fuji Film Award, Sundance Script short list, and also selected for Equinox.
